Locality
Toowong, Brisbane, Australia
Client
Trancity Joint Venture, Uni-Span Australia, Dowells
Project Value
$1.5 Billion

The $1.5 billion M5 Legacy Way is a 4.6km long tunnel linking the western freeway at Toowong to the inner city bypass at Kelvin Grove in Brisbane. The project consisted of two twin lane tunnels that were excavated by 110 meters long, 12.4-metre diameter boring machines.
Selected for our experience with other major works projects such as the Clem7 and Airport Link tunnels we provided formwork and construction engineering design, supervision and third party certification services to various stakeholders.

Works included ventilation duct slabs, connecting ducts, tunnel formwork systems, cut and cover and headwall works for tunnel portals, anchor grouting, temporary services for control rooms and the like.

Glynn Tucker are proud to be contributors to this award winning project including the 2015 infrastructure partnerships Australia project of the year and the 2013 International Tunnelling Project of the Year (>$500k).
