Locality
Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, Australia
Project Value
$15 Million

This exclusive development in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast incorporates an elegant 15 storey tower and two individual three level beach home style apartment buildings.

Positioned on the beachfront; the project incorporates a two-level basement carpark, the lower of which was designed to resist hydrostatic uplift groundwater pressures. The lower waterproofed suspended basement slab also integrates a fully piled foundation system for the main tower and external support elements.

The towers lateral resisting system comprises reinforced slip-form core and shear wall elements. The unique and regularly changing floor plate geometries were analysed and designed as conventionally reinforced floor plates.

Key Design Aspects:

  • Schematic, design development and construction design services.
  • Fully piled foundation system conforming to coastal scour protection regulations.
  • Hydrostatic resistant lower basement slab and wall systems.
  • Design lateral load analysis: wind, earthquake and coastal wave attack assessment.
  • Podium Level post-tensioning transfer design & documentation.
  • Feature Roof analysis, design & 3D documentation.
